The Rise and Fall of the Brown Buffalo

"The Rise and Fall of the Brown Buffalo" is the chronicle of radical Chicano lawyer, author, and activist Oscar Zeta Acosta, spanning his life and work, along with his volatile friendship with celebrity journalist Hunter S. Thompson.

Los Angeles: March 9 at La Plaza. Phillip Rodriguez, director, writer, and producer will introduce "The Rise and Fall of the Brown Buffalo." Following will be a dialogue between Wendy Carrillo (California Assembly, 51st District) and Erick Huerta (poet/writer); a performance by Thee Commons (punk-cumbia); and a closing set by Chulita Vinyl Club.
