San Diego Latino Film Festival returns with a wide selection of films from across Latin America and the USA. Here are a couple highlights:

Pasos De Heróe, Colombia
Eduardo, a 10-year old amputee from Colombia, must overcome several challenges-- including his physical impairment and the oppressive patriarch he lives with-- in order to achieve his dream of playing in a soccer championship.

Ruta Madre, Mexico/USA
After his first love breaks his heart, a young American singer reluctantly leaves his home in San Diego, California and embarks on an epic road trip through Baja with his uncle in order to reconnect with his Mexican roots and find himself. Featuring performances from Carmen Salinas, Paul Rodriguez, Paulina Gaitan, and Angélica María.
