Two Mexican films are included in this cinematic celebration of immigrants, which includes special guests, food trucks and voter registration:

Sin Nombre (2009)
Honduran teenager Sayra reunites with her father, an opportunity for her to potentially realize her dream of a life in the U.S. Moving to Mexico is the first step in a fateful journey of unexpected events.

Desierto (2016)
Starring Gael Garcia Bernal and directed by Jonas Cuaron, this thriller follows a group of Mexican immigrants over the U.S. border.  Their journey becomes a fight to survive when they find they are being hunted by a rifle-toting vigilante and there’s nowhere to hide.
