NFMLA, sponsored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) will present a special evening hosted at the Hollywood home of the Academy. The program will consist of 2 short film programs featuring talent from Spain, Brazil, Mexico and Cuba along with Germany as well as filmmakers representing the local Latino and Hispanic landscape. The night closes with an feature comedy from Peru:

Como en el Cine (Just Like in the Movies), Peru
After finding out that his girlfriend cheated on him under his own Star Wars bed sheets, Nico decides to reunite with his true love: the cinema. To accomplish this mission, he brings his old university friends together, with whom he tries to make a low budget short film. They live absurd situations that range from reality to fiction and which will lead to personal questioning of their friendship and where their lives are headed.
