During the Spanish Civil War, Teo is destined to a minuscule sentry point, located in a cold and inhospitable place in the mountains. There he meets Silverio, his new companion, with whom he will have to coexist for six long months. The different personalities of these two men provoke many tensions, accentuated by the limited space. The fragile coexistence collapses with the arrival of Zolska, a young militiawoman whom they find wounded in the surroundings.
