La Guerra del Café - La Conexión Rosenberg

This documentary investigates the murder of Guatemalan lawyer Rodrigo Rosenberg in 2009, foretold by himself in a video where he made the president responsible, triggered a political crisis which threatened for months the country's democracy. A plot involving diplomatic and institutional powers, business interests, intelligence services and paramilitaries with links to the Cold War and the local oligarchy, which controls Guatemala's politic and economics, will be unfolded during the investigation.

New York:  March 11 at NYU. Free and open to the public. The film will be followed by a discussion with Oscar Feito and Greg Grandin, Professor of History at NYU.
