The fourth annual Ícaro Film Festival New York City presents award winners from the annual Ícaro Film Festival in Guatemala, showcasing young and emerging filmmakers from Central America. Highlights include:

12 Segundos (12 Seconds), Guatemala
A young executive assistant goes in search of her boss, who has disappeared from his vacation home, and finds more than she bargained for.

La pantalla desnuda (The Naked Screen), Nicaragua
College students Alex and Esperanza are deeply, madly in love. They text and call each other constantly; Alex even records a lovemaking session on his smartphone, over Esperanza’s objections. Alex’s best friend Octavio seeks to drive a wedge between the two lovers and finds the right opportunity when, after stealing Alex’s phone and discovering the video, uploads it anonymously on the web.
