The Life and Death of Frida Kahlo as told to Karen and David Crommie- the first documentary ever made about Frida Kahlo.  San Franciscans, Karen and David, head to Mexico to interview 11 of Frida's closest friends.  Also includes "Fisita- A Utopian Dream of Love and Death" by Tomas Soto, "Sh!t Happens" by Lita Cabellut and "Frida in the Mirror" by San Francisco's own heARTist, Adrian Arias, featuring Mamacoatl and over 20 San FranFridas. 

FRIDA Naturaleza Viva/Still Life
August 25th 
With the original Frida played by Ofelia Medina. A richly visual film with little dialogue is great on a big screen. Directed by Paul Leduc in the 80's, considered one of the top 30 Classics of Mexican Cinema.
