Miami International Film Festival

The Miami International Film Festival brings a variety of Latin American film to Miami this Florida. Highlights include Argentinian hit Relatos Salvajes (Wild Tales) and Chilean drama La Voz en Off (Voice Over).

Some highlights:

Sangue Azul (Blue Blood), Brazil
Zolah (Daniel de Oliveira) the “human cannonball” returns home to the island of Fernando de Noronha, off the coast of Pernambuco State as one of the attractions of the popular Netuno Circus. Lírio Ferreira’s latest feature film showcases the differences between a simple life and the glamour of life on the road.

Sexo Fácil, Películas Tristes (Easy Sex, Sad Movies) Argentina
Buenos Aires screenwriter Pablo (Ernesto Alterio) is hired to write a new romantic comedy. As he begins his story, he visualizes his characters living in Madrid. Pablo creates a meet-cute between Marina (Marta Etura) and Víctor (Quim Gutiérrez), a cute couple in Madrid who are soon totally in love. Yet as Pablo gets more and more into the script, he finds it difficult to separate his movie characters from what is happening in his own real life – specifically, his own love life.
