Mexican cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki is the real star of Alejandro Iñárritu's latest film, a loose version of a true wilderness survival story from the 1820s. Legendary explorer Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) is brutally attacked by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team, forcing him to survive on his own in the dead of winter as he struggles to reach safety (and wreak revenge on those who left him for dead).
