International Puerto Rican Heritage Film Festival

The IPRHFF features films on the subject of Puerto Rico, its people, including those in the Diaspora, or that have personnel of Puerto Rican descent in any production role. A couple highlights:

Las Vacas con Gafas (Cows Wearing Glasses)
A film about the emotional awakening of a man who is nearing the end of his days. Marso, a solitary and eccentric painter and art professor, has a disease that will make him lose his sight at any time and that has forced him to rethink the relationship with his daughter, while taking stock of a life full of professional success but unsatisfactory on the personal level. On the verge of entering the prison of blindness, Marso knows that the only thing that can set him free is forgiveness.

La Granja
A promising young boxer, a barren midwife and a fat kid with a bike: three intersecting stories about the pursuit of happiness and its unanticipated consequences during the economic collapse of the island of Puerto Rico.
