Every Wednesday in July, the Instituto Cervantes in collaboration with the Consulate General of Peru in Chicago presents the Peruvian Film Series. Movies include: Black Butterfly, Red Ink, Crossing a Shadow, and Double game.

July 16: Crossing a Shadow, a period drama about a young engineer struggling to complete a road system to unite Peru's different regions.

July 23: Double Game, a thriller set during the fall of Fujimori's government.
