At Cinelandia, our editorial mission is rooted in thoughtful, independent coverage of U.S. Latino and Latin American cinema and culture. Our reporting, criticism, interviews, and recommendations are guided by journalistic integrity, curiosity, and a commitment to serving our readers — not outside interests.
Cinelandia maintains full editorial control over all published content. We keep a clear separation between editorial decision-making and all sources of revenue, including advertising, sponsorships, partnerships, grants, and donations. Financial support does not influence our coverage, reviews, or editorial viewpoints, and should never be understood as an endorsement of any company, organization, product, or individual.
We may accept financial support from individuals, institutions, companies, foundations, or other organizations to help sustain our journalism and operations. However, all editorial decisions are made independently by Cinelandia’s editors and contributors, without input from sponsors, advertisers, or donors.
From time to time, Cinelandia may accept funding connected to coverage areas, special projects, events, or reporting initiatives. In every case, Cinelandia retains full editorial authority over the scope, direction, and publication of that work. Supporters do not receive advance approval, editorial influence, or the right to review content before publication.
Transparency is an important part of building trust with our audience. Cinelandia will publicly disclose major financial supporters and partnerships whenever appropriate, and we will clearly identify sponsored or paid content.
