This weekly series presents a mix of narrative and documentary features to provide insight into contemporary Cuba. Here are a couple highlights:

Las raices negras de la salsa (The Black Roots of Salsa), 2010
Get fascinated by this journey into Afro-Cuban culture, full of dance and music. This documentary unwinds the complexity of many traditional and cultural movements in Cuba and brings a deeply rooted approach to the life of the descendants of historically deported African slaves as expressed in the Cuban Rumba.

Bailando con Margot (Dancing with Margot), 2015
A private detective investigates the theft of a stolen painting in the house of a wealthy widow of Havana, but as the relationship between the two escalates, so do the mysteries on the eve of the Cuban Revolution.
