O Brasil: Contemporary Brazilian Cinema

This season’s edition of O Brasil includes a small but diverse selection of recent award-winning independent films from the production powerhouse that is Brazil today: the New York premiere of Last Conversations, master Eduardo Coutinho's last documentary, about teen life, finished posthumously; the fiction feature Absence, a festival favorite from Chico Teixeira; and Swirl, the otherworldly, semi-documentary debut film by Clarissa Campolin and Elvécio Marins, Jr.

New York: Nov. 14 - Dec. 12. Full details on the MOMI website.
